Teen Guidance

24/7 access via a virtual communication platform, to a dedicated Guide for teens aged 13-17 provides an open ear and caring advisement on ways to navigate through a youth’s teen years and avoid the pitfalls associated with coming of age. Boys and girls are welcome to join a judgment-free atmosphere; where they’re able to discuss large and small issues that confront them in their daily lives. Topic privacy is extended to each teen in the program.

Transitional Guidance

24/7 access via a virtual communication platform, to a program Guide provides young adults aged 18-25 the ability to discuss issues associated with transitioning from youth to adulthood. Discussion topic include but are not limited to: navigating college life, transitioning into the workforce and developing financial aptitude. Topic privacy is extended to each young adult in the program.

JOIN GUIDANCE PROGRAMS NOW

Foster-A-Family

Need-based program that provides aid and support; including but not limited to help with finances, employment search and financial planning. Designed as a hand up not a handout; program participants are provided a means to build a bridge over their financial difficulty to steady them on their path. Families seeking additional aid participate in a financial planning workshop, with resources provided by a national banking institution. Program participants contribute to giving back to the community through participation in the PASS Organization’s annual event.

Scholarship Program

The Lovetta D. Bryant-Williams scholarship was established to recognize and honor scholastic achievement. The scholarship is awarded to college-bound high school students. Scholarship recipients must be graduating seniors with a GPA of 3.0 or greater. Applicants must also submit a 500-word essay along with documentation of the community service hours they’ve performed during the current calendar year. Financial aid for upperclassmen college students is evaluated on a case-by-case basis by the program director.

Elder Meals Program  

Designed to provide holiday meals to community members that are sick and /or shut-in. Warm meals during the holiday season are accompanied by a program participant’s friendly conversation to aid in emotional uplifting of those served.
